The world of ‘John Wick’ is expanding, and it’s coming with some intense action. A new trailer has been released for ‘Ballerina’, a spinoff I am eagerly anticipating. In this installment, Ana de Armas takes center stage, going head-to-head with the iconic John Wick, portrayed by Keanu Reeves. This confrontation is expected to be brutal and bloody, keeping us on tenterhooks throughout.
Ana de Armas plays the role of Eve Macarro, a ballet dancer who carries a lethal secret. The movie titled ‘Ballerina’ has been in development for some time now. Filming commenced in Prague as early as November 2022, and they finished the primary shoot a while ago. However, they decided to put in more work – Chad Stahelski, renowned for the ‘John Wick’ series, collaborated with Wiseman to amplify the action sequences even more. This additional work caused the release date to be postponed from June 2024 to June 6, 2025.
Ana de Armas has proven her action prowess before, stealing the spotlight as a formidable operative in ‘No Time to Die’. Now she’s leading her own film, and with the challenges she faced during stunts – bruises, muscle soreness, the whole nine yards – it’s clear this role doesn’t come easy.
