At the 2026 Golden Globes, Ana de Armas appeared friendly with Jacob Elordi, only three months after her breakup with Tom Cruise.
According to RadarOnline.com, the two actors, who appeared together in the 2022 film Deep Water, were seen holding hands and laughing while chatting at the Beverly Hilton during the awards ceremony.
Ana de Armas, 37, looked cheerful while chatting with Jacob Elordi, 28, before the Golden Globes ceremony. She smiled at him as he gently touched her arm, and the two appeared comfortable and at ease amongst the other celebrities.
I was really surprised to hear that Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise split up in October. They’d been dating since February 2025, and seemed so happy together – I remember seeing pictures of them holding hands on a trip to Vermont back in July. It’s a shame it didn’t work out after nine months.
RadarOnline.com reports that Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise split up because she felt he was too controlling and it was holding her back.
You know, a friend of mine who knows Ana told me that nobody’s really surprised this relationship didn’t work out. Apparently, Ana got caught up in the whirlwind of dating someone as famous as Tom, but her friends could see right away it wasn’t a good fit. He was constantly trying to control everything about her – what she wore, how she exercised, even her career. She initially thought it was sweet he was so attentive, but it quickly became overwhelming. She needed some breathing room, and Tom didn’t take it well. It just went downhill from there, sadly.
I was hearing that Tom Cruise was really serious about his relationship with Ana de Armas – apparently, he was even thinking about proposing! A friend of mine in the industry told me he completely fell for her and showered her with amazing gifts and trips all over Europe. It’s a shame things didn’t work out romantically, but I’ve also heard there’s still a chance they might work together on a movie someday, which would be fantastic.
Jacob Elordi recently split from Olivia Jade, the daughter of Lori Loughlin, after an on-again, off-again relationship that began in 2021. The pair officially broke up in October 2025, and a source confirmed they are not getting back together.
You know, working with Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck on Deep Water was amazing. They’re both incredibly talented and have so much experience – real pros. We’d chat on set, but honestly, just watching them work was a masterclass. I learned so much just by observing how they approach their craft.
