As an obsessed fan of America’s Got Talent, I can hardly contain my excitement as we take a brief hiatus from the show to focus on the Olympics. Each week, this incredible platform provides a stage for aspiring talents seeking their big break and a chance at fame. The audition rounds have been nothing short of extraordinary, with some of the most remarkable performances I’ve ever seen.

America’s Got Talent will go on a brief hiatus as NBC and Peacock focus their attention on the Paris Olympics. For several weeks, fans have been engrossed in watching a remarkable array of contestants vying for their chance at fame and fortune on America’s Got Talent. The final audition episodes for this season took place on Tuesday, showcasing some of the most impressive performances yet. Alongside wrapping up Season 19 auditions, the latest episode brought an electrifying announcement from host Terry Crews.

New Golden Buzzer twist at AGT

In an unexpected turn of events at America’s Got Talent, Terry Crews announced that for the first time ever, the coveted Golden Buzzer will be pressed live during this season’s shows.

Beginning August 13, upon the resumption of America’s Got Talent, each judge will be granted an additional Golden Buzzer. This newfound power allows one act to advance directly to the final round, circumventing the need for audience votes. This modification could inject more excitement and unpredictability into the competition.

Season 19’s double Golden Buzzers

In Season 19, the audition phase introduced an extra twist with the inclusion of two Golden Buzzers for Terry Crews instead of just one, and each judge being granted the power to advance acts to the live shows using two opportunities.

At the selection event, Simon Cowell chose vocalist Liv Warfield and drone team Sky Elements. Heidi Klum went with singers Richard Goodall and Pranysqa Mishra. Howie Mandel picked dance group Brent Street and young singer Reid Wilson. Dance group Legión was Sofia Vergara’s selection, along with comedy duo Schumacher. Crews announced his choice as comedian Learnmore Jonasi.
