Cassie Laundrie, Brian Laundrie’s sister, was profoundly saddened by the tragic death of Gabby Petito at the hands of her brother. The 22-year-old suffered a horrific murder at the hands of her boyfriend during their road trip across the USA in August 2021.
Following his conviction for Petito’s death, Laundrie chose to take his own life soon afterward. In contrast, Cassie severed ties with her parents and established a new family unit consisting of her spouse and their two sons.

During an interview with Good Morning America, the mental health advisor expressed her desire to communicate with him. She explained, “I deeply wish we could have a conversation. I understand that their legal counsel is instructing them not to speak.
Additionally, Cassie expressed the idea that if her parents were somehow implicated, they ought to admit it openly, saying, “It seems to me that, if they are, they should speak up honestly.
About their relationship, Cassie stated that Gabby felt more like a dear sister to her. She conveyed her deepest hope that Gabby would return safely, and this whole situation would turn out to be a simple misconception.
In the process of making the documentary series, Gabby Petito’s use of AI technology to mimic her voice drew some criticism from people in America.
