Prime Video announced the premiere date for the new version of American Gladiators and revealed the official artwork for its first season.
The competition series returns April 17th on Prime Video, hosted by Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and Rosci Diaz.

Prime Video will roll out the ten-episode season across three Fridays.
The show will premiere with three episodes on April 17th, followed by another three on April 24th. The last four episodes will be released on May 1st.
The new version of the show will be available to stream on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories around the globe.
What the new series is about
The reboot keeps the same basic setup that made American Gladiators popular in the first place.
Each week, everyday athletes from around the country compete in the Arena against 16 American Gladiators. The challenge is straightforward: overcome the obstacles, defeat their opponents, and become the champion.
Prime Video’s new series will feature both beloved classic challenges like Joust, Powerball, Hang Tough, and The Wall, as well as exciting new games such as The Ring and Collision.
So, at the finish line of this whole Gladiator thing, the top man and the top woman will each walk away with a cool $100,000 and, even better, get crowned the American Gladiator Champion. As a movie buff, it’s like the ultimate prize in a real-life action flick!
Prime Video leans into nostalgia
The latest promotional images show Prime Video is heavily investing in the ‘Gladiators’ brand. The poster prominently features the new gladiators, giving them the same epic and memorable appearance as the original show.
This will likely appeal to older viewers who remember shows like American Gladiators, and it also gives Prime Video another well-known competition series to offer.
Who is behind the reboot
American Gladiators is created and executive produced by Johnny C. Ferraro.
Daniel Calin leads the show as showrunner and executive producer, with Barry Poznick also serving as executive producer. Susan Janis-Mashayekhi, Sarah Happel Jackson, and Adam Cooper are co-executive producers, and Ramy Romany is the director.
The reboot is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
