Amanda Bynes is showing off a bold new tattoo after an impressive weight loss transformation.

The actress, known for her work on Nickelodeon, showed off her newest tattoo on Instagram Wednesday. It says “Trap Star” in big letters on her left hand. She got the tattoo at Atomic Tattoo & Body Piercing in Los Angeles, and it’s the latest addition to her growing collection, which already includes tattoos of a snake, a rose, a heart, and the number 10 in Roman numerals.

The artist, age 39, hasn’t said what her latest tattoo means, though she’s previously talked about the stories behind her other tattoos.

Amanda shared the stories behind some of her tattoos on TikTok. She and her best friend, Dylan, celebrated their 10-year friendship by getting matching Roman numeral X tattoos – Amanda’s on her finger and Dylan’s on her rib cage. She also explained that her snake tattoo represents personal growth. ‘It’s about transformation,’ she said. ‘Snakes symbolize letting go of the past and embracing who you’re becoming. It’s a reminder that I can heal, grow, and start fresh.’

Amanda began focusing on weight loss in late 2024, and 2025 proved to be a significant year for her. She recently shared a story on Instagram about a paparazzi photo, saying she used to dislike such pictures because she weighed 180 pounds. However, after losing 28 pounds with Ozempic – bringing her current weight to 152 pounds – she found the photo surprisingly motivating, even though she still feels she has further to go.

She explained that changing GLP-1 medications helped her lose weight. She shared on social media that she initially went from 173 to 180 pounds while taking the Ozempic pill, then lost twenty pounds to reach 163 pounds after switching to the Ozempic injection.

Aside from focusing on her health, Amanda has been diving into creative projects. She recently shared a snippet of an electronic dance music track she made and is also training to become a licensed nail technician. She told her followers that she went back to school to learn the art of acrylic nails and the related techniques, with the goal of working in a salon.
