As an ardent fan who has been following their journey since the days of “Shake It Off” and touchdown celebrations, I must say that Travis Kelce‘s confession about his favorite Taylor Swift songs is nothing short of a dream come true for us Swifties!
After Travis Kelce began dating international pop sensation Taylor Swift, his popularity soared to new heights. Nowadays, her devoted fans, known as Swifties, eagerly watch for any insights into their romantic journey and are charmed by the sweet gestures they exchange. Interestingly, the Kansas City Chiefs player rarely mentioned his partner in a public forum until quite recently.
During a special episode on November 27th of his podcast New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce – the Heights Hotline – he shared which songs by Maroon singer are his favorites. “To be honest,” he said, “‘Blank Space’ is a song I’ll never tire of listening to. It’s simply amazing in every way.” Travis agreed, saying, “It’s just incredible, everything about it.
However, the NFL player didn’t just mention one Swift song; instead, he went on to cite additional tunes by her, such as “Death By a Thousand Cuts” which he grew fond of. He reminisced about his affection for the song after viewing “Tay’s” NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert performance. Furthermore, he added that “The Alchemy” was also a standout track for him.
Apart from that, he additionally highlighted Swift’s “Cowboy Like Me” as one of his preferred tracks. Interestingly, his brother and ex-NFL player Jason shared his favorite song by the pop star too, stating, “Of course, mine is ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’,” which is a well-known tune from her recent album titled The Tortured Poet’s Society.
The ex-Philadelphia Eagles player stated, “I won’t delve into all her remarkable songs. For me, it ends there.” In an interview with People magazine in May, Travis hinted that he might have a special attachment to the song ‘So High School,’ which Taylor Swift composed about their relationship.
On the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, he openly shared that the TTPD track evoked a sense of nostalgia within him. He also referenced his presence in the track by reciting its verses. “I know how to have fun, and I guess I know Aristotle,” he said with a grin, implying his dual abilities for enjoyment and intellectualism.
