However, their affection for each other intensified again in 2017, leading to their engagement in 2019. Woman’s World looks back at Perry’s early achievements in catchy pop hits, adding a modern “feminist” twist. The debut single from her latest album, titled “143,” was met with criticism prior to its release because of Dr. Luke’s involvement in the song composition. Kesha, a fellow artist, had previously accused Luke of sexual misconduct.
Upon its release, the song received only modest praise from critics. They noted the simplistic production and unoriginal theme of Perry’s “143,” which is set to drop on September 20th this year.
