It appears that viewers of “The Young and the Restless” soap opera may notice a familiar absence, as actress Allison Lanier, known for her role as Summer Newman on the CBS series, has bid farewell to this cherished production.
Lanier took on the well-known character in the popular series, as it was revealed that her storyline would conclude on the program on April 30th. Over nearly three years, she portrayed the character of Summer.
The actress posted on her account (formerly known as Twitter) that she would appear for the final time in the soap opera on Friday, May 2nd. She conveyed her affection for the experience and all that she had learned, further mentioning that it was now time to expand in a new direction.
