November 2025 was a disappointing month for TV viewers, with several popular shows unexpectedly canceled. Both critically acclaimed comedies and well-loved animated series were cut due to changes within the companies that made them and some unforeseen issues. Streaming services are constantly re-evaluating what shows to offer, and this led to a wave of cancellations. Here’s a rundown of the major series that ended during this period.
‘Poker Face’ (2023–2025)

The mystery series created by Rian Johnson won’t be continuing on Peacock for another season. However, the creator is looking for a new home for the show on a different network, and plans to recast the lead role. Sources say Peter Dinklage is being considered to take over from Natasha Lyonne, who will still be involved as an executive producer and supports the change.
‘Dora’ (2024–2025)

Paramount+ has cancelled the animated show about the well-known young explorer after only a short time. Even though the show is ending, the fourth season will still be available to stream soon. The fifth and final season has already been finished, but it’s not yet known how or when it will be released. This change seems to be part of a broader move by Paramount+ to adjust its programming for kids.
‘Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ (2024–2025)

The current animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series will finish after its second season airs. Paramount decided to end the show as the company changes things around following its acquisition by Skydance. While the series is ending, fans will still get one last set of episodes. This cancellation is part of a larger plan for the franchise on Paramount+.
‘English Teacher’ (2024–2025)

FX has cancelled its well-received comedy series about high school teachers in Austin after only two seasons. This decision came after accusations of misconduct were made against the show’s creator and star, Brian Jordan Alvarez, who has denied the allegations of sexual assault. Ultimately, the network decided not to produce a third season due to these issues.
