All the New Sci-Fi Movies & TV Shows Set to Release in February 2026

As a huge sci-fi fan, I’m already getting excited for February 2026! It looks like we’re in for a treat with a really diverse range of stories coming out, both in theaters and on streaming. There’s everything from tense, biological thrillers to mind-bending time travel adventures. It’s great to see both sequels to series I love and totally fresh, original ideas. I’ve put together a list of the biggest releases that month, just for fellow speculative fiction fans like myself.

‘Cold Storage’ (2026)

The sci-fi thriller, directed by Jonny Campbell and starring Liam Neeson, Joe Keery, Georgina Campbell, and Lesley Manville, will hit theaters on February 13, 2026. The film follows a team of experts who must quickly contain a dangerous, fast-spreading biological threat after it escapes from a secure facility. It’s a tense story about preventing a worldwide disaster through science and action, offering a realistic look at how organizations might handle a sudden ecological crisis.

‘Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die’ (2026)

A new science fiction thriller starring Sam Rockwell will hit theaters on February 20, 2026. The story centers around a man who says he’s from the future and is trying to prevent a disaster. He brings together a diverse group of people he believes can change what’s about to happen. The film combines suspense, dark comedy, and the fascinating idea of time travel. It’s another ambitious and thought-provoking role for Rockwell.

‘Paradise’ (2025–2026)

The sci-fi thriller series returns for its second season on Hulu on February 23, 2026. Starring Sterling K. Brown, the show takes place in a huge underground bunker built to shelter people after a global catastrophe. Secret Service agent Xavier Collins continues to uncover political secrets and investigate the President’s mysterious death inside the bunker. The series examines the difficulties of surviving in a world after a disaster, and how limited resources cause power struggles among those living underground.

‘Ghosts’ (2021–2026)

This show returns to CBS on February 26, 2026, for the rest of its fifth season. It’s a comedy with a touch of sci-fi and the supernatural, centering on a couple who share their home with ghosts from different periods of history. These ghosts can’t move on, and the show follows the funny interactions between them and the living couple. While lighthearted, the series also playfully explores big ideas about life, time, and how the past influences the present.

‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ (2023–2026)

The second season of this sci-fi series about giant creatures will premiere on February 27, 2026. It continues the story of humanity’s fight against the Titans – massive monsters that have appeared worldwide. The show follows a group of scientists and soldiers as they try to understand these creatures and deal with the political challenges that come with them. A major focus is on the real-world scientific effects of living in a world where giant monsters are a constant threat. This new season will explore more of the monster-filled world, taking the story to different locations around the globe.
