
As a total fantasy fan, I’m already psyched for March 2026! It looks like we’re getting a really great mix of stuff – the finales to series we’ve been waiting for, new seasons of adaptations we love, and even some classic animated movies back on the big screen. All the streaming services and theaters are gearing up to release some big projects involving everything from time travel to magical schools and epic pirate adventures. Honestly, there’s something for everyone, no matter how old you are or what kind of fantasy you’re into.
‘Outlander’ (2014–2026)

The eighth and final season of the fantasy drama ‘Outlander’ premieres on Starz March 6th. Based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling books, the show continues the story of Claire and Jamie Fraser as they face the challenges of the American Revolution. This last season will wrap up the couple’s time-traveling adventure, which began in Scotland, and continues to combine historical events with fantastical elements.
‘One Piece’ (2023–2026)

The second season of Netflix’s live-action series ‘One Piece’ arrives on March 10th. The show follows the adventures of the Straw Hat crew as they sail across a dangerous and magical world, searching for the greatest treasure and striving to help Luffy become the Pirate King. Building on the first season, the new episodes will feature even more exciting action and expand the show’s rich fantasy world and memorable characters. Fans of the original manga can look forward to a deeper dive into the story they love.
‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ (1989)

Get ready to revisit a beloved classic! Studio Ghibli and GKIDS are bringing Hayao Miyazaki’s ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ back to cinemas on March 13. This enchanting film follows Kiki, a young witch, as she moves to a new town to become independent and starts her own delivery business using her broom. Featuring the voices of Minami Takayama and Rei Sakuma, this special re-release lets a new generation enjoy this magical story about growing up on the big screen.
‘Unicorn Academy’ (2023–2026)

The fifth season of ‘Unicorn Academy’ arrives on Netflix on March 19th. The animated series follows students at a magical boarding school who each partner with a unicorn. Together, they learn to use their powers to defend Unicorn Island from dangerous threats. The new episodes continue the story of these young riders as they tackle bigger and more challenging adventures, strengthening the special connection between them and their unicorns.
‘The Pout-Pout Fish’ (2026)

On March 20th, Viva Pictures will bring ‘The Pout-Pout Fish’ to the big screen. This animated comedy, based on the popular children’s books, follows the adventures of a fish on a journey to discover himself. The film features the voices of well-known actors like Nick Offerman, Miranda Otto, Amy Sedaris, and Mark Coles Smith. It’s a colorful underwater story about growing up and meeting new friends.
