The San Diego Comic-Con 2024 has concluded! This year, Marvel Studios made a comeback following their absence in the previous event. True to form, they delivered an impressive Hall H presentation, showcasing three highly anticipated Marvel movies. Alongside Kevin Feige, the casts of “Captain America: Brave New World,” “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” and “Avengers: Doomsday” graced the stage, sharing exciting updates and offering sneak peeks into the upcoming films’ developments. Robert Downey, Jr. Returns to the MCU as Doctor Doom?!

At the finale of Marvel Studios’ SDCC 2024 panel, the most thrilling revelations were saved for last. It was common knowledge that 1) the Russo Brothers would return to helm the next Avengers films and 2) Avengers: The Kang Dynasty would undergo a title change. These facts were confirmed when the Russos appeared onstage, followed by the unveiling of Avengers: Doomsday as the new title for the upcoming film. The identity of Doctor Doom remained uncertain, however. That enigma was solved when a mysterious figure in a Doom costume emerged, revealing Robert Downey, Jr. beneath the mask. This surprising turn of events took us at TopMob by surprise but we’re thrilled to be part of this exciting Marvel news. The release date for Avengers: Doomsday is set for May 2026.
