Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 3.7 update is now available, introducing new puzzles called Golden Scapegoats to the areas “Great Tomb of the Nameless Titan, Nightmare’s Echo” and “Ruins of Time, Memortis Shore.”
Okay, so basically, you’re trying to get this poor guy thrown into a fire! You do that by moving buttons and teleporters around the level using his shadow. The tricky part is, his shadow only copies a few of your moves, so you have to be smart about it. And watch out! If you fall off the edge or bump into your own shadow, it’s instantly game over. It’s a really cool, but stressful, puzzle!
Wondering who the goat is that we’ve been leading to its fate? The answer is shown after you solve the last puzzle in this update.

Golden Scapegoats in Great Tomb of the Nameless Titan (Nightmare’s Echo)
Golden Scapegoat #1
Location:

Solution: Left, Right, Left, Left, Down, Right, Right, Right, Down

Approach the ladder, taking a small step back between each forward move. Then, jump down into the portal. This will bring you back to the starting level, and you can repeat the process of climbing up and jumping down. We do this back-and-forth to position the portal correctly. Once it’s out of the way, you can head directly to the pyre, guiding your shadow to activate the necessary mechanisms.
Golden Scapegoat #2
Location:

Solution: Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Up

Start by going straight to the yellow and blue buttons, then climb the tall ladder. Once you reach the top and find the blue trapdoor, your shadow will automatically open it, activating the portal. Stepping on the blue button will make your shadow teleport and open the yellow and blue bridges, allowing you to proceed.
Golden Scapegoat #3
Location:

Solution: Right, Right, Right, Left, Left, Up, Left

Quickly move to the left until you reach the edge of the platform. Then, climb the ladder and continue left towards the yellow button. Pressing it will send your shadow to the opposite side. Wait by climbing up and down the ladder until your shadow completes a full circuit around the structure, which will reset the teleport. When your shadow finishes its loop, run to the teleport at the same time as it does to switch places. Your shadow will then hold down the blue button for you.
Golden Scapegoat #4
Location:

Solution: Left, Left, Left, Left, Left

To proceed, turn left and quickly run towards the ladder. Climb it, and you’ll be able to cross the two bridges once your shadow triggers them.
Golden Scapegoats in Ruins of Time (Memortis Shore)
Golden Scapegoat #1
Location:

Solution: Left, Left, Left, Left, Up, Right, Right

Turn left and go around to the orange button to restart the portal. Once it’s active, quickly jump into the teleporter. This will swap your location with your shadow. Then, activate the blue button to send your shadow down to the lower level, and finally, make your way to the pyre.
Golden Scapegoat #2
Location:

Solution: Left, Left, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Right

This part can be a little challenging. Carefully enter the portal. Once you’re through, jump down to the yellow button, then to the rightmost blue button, back to the yellow one, and again to the blue button on the right. After that, climb the ladder and jump back onto the yellow button. Repeat this – climb the ladder, jump to the yellow button, and move to the right blue button – one last time. This will reactivate the portal with your shadow, letting you reach the pyre.
Golden Scapegoat #3
Location:

Solution: Right, Right, Right, Right, Left, Right

Go straight through the portal and keep going in that direction on the lower level. Move forward and back once to make your shadow appear, then run directly to the blue button. Turn around when your shadow gets to the blue trapdoor and let it trigger the portal while you hold the button. This will let you teleport up to the pyre easily.
Golden Scapegoat #4
Location:

Solution: Right, Right, Right, Right

The last puzzle is straightforward: you just need to repeatedly jump towards the center. Usually, if your shadow gets stuck in a teleportation loop, the game ends, but that rule doesn’t apply here – your shadow will simply disappear.
