The storyline of this prequel series carried on from the 2017 movie, Alien: Covenant. The fourth installment, titled Alien: Resurrection, is set 202 years later, specifically in the year 2381. This film focuses on a clone of Ellen Ripley.

Researchers have produced identical copies of Ripley and the Xenomorphs utilizing genuine blood specimens from the original Ripley. In this new version, a genetically altered Xenomorph queen gives birth to a hybrid that resembles a human.
