Get ready to tumble down the rabbit hole! A new musical inspired by Alice in Wonderland is coming to theaters soon, and it will star singer Sabrina Carpenter. While details about the story are still under wraps, according to Deadline, the film will likely be based on Lewis Carroll’s classic tale.
Many people know the classic 1951 Disney animated film, Alice in Wonderland, which follows a curious young girl as she chases a white rabbit into a strange and sometimes scary world. The movie’s songs are memorable, and it even made celebrating your “unbirthday” seem fun! Since the original story is set in the 1860s, it would be interesting to see a modern update set in the 2020s.
Similar to the original Alice, the actress chosen, Carpenter, is a blonde with a lovely voice and seems perfectly suited to play such a whimsical character. Universal Pictures is probably hoping her large fanbase will come out to see the movie, and we’ll be eagerly awaiting more details about this upcoming Alice in Wonderland musical film.
