Alan Ritchson acknowledged the circulating speculation about him potentially playing Batman and clarified that he’s indeed had discussions with DC Studios co-head James Gunn, but emphasized that the chances of him assuming the role of Batman are minimal at this point.
There’s been plenty of talk about the actor, famous for his role as Reacher, expressing his desire multiple times to take on the part of Batman in DC’s universe.
Ritchson Confirms Batman Conversations Happened
Responding to queries about rumors linking him to the Batman part in the fresh DC Universe, Ritchson neither confirmed nor denied but provided a realistic answer instead.
Indeed, James Gunn’s fandom admiration is not merely speculation – he’s openly expressed it himself,” Ritchson stated. “As for me, I wholeheartedly share the appreciation for James Gunn. I want to make it clear to everyone. While there have been discussions about Batman, I can assure you that a role as Batman doesn’t seem likely in my future.
However, Ritchson didn’t close the door on joining the DCU altogether.
Ritchson expressed his belief that there might be a role for him with DC in the future, and he hopes this will continue to be the case.
Ritchson, Gunn, and DCU Possibilities
Fans have shown a strong preference for the actor from Reacher, particularly when it comes to choosing who will play Batman, as James Gunn continues to develop his “Superman Series.
It’s possible that Batman from the DC Universe could make his debut in Season 2 of ‘Peacemaker’, which is currently airing its second episode.
