‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Star Gives a Clear Answer on Whether She Sees Herself in the MCU Once Again

As a long-time Marvel fan who has followed the journey of the MCU since its inception, I find myself both intrigued and disappointed by the ambiguous status of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a series that has left an indelible mark on my fandom experience. The characters, especially Chloe Bennet’s Daisy Johnson (Quake), have captivated us with their resilience and growth throughout the series.

Following the seamless blending of its films into a unified narrative realm, Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has since delved into television, welcoming numerous series into its recognized lore in recent times. The intricate handling of multiple storylines and characters demands considerable effort, making insights into the creation process continually engaging.

Although shows like “Daredevil” and X-Men have been integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the fate of the popular series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, which shares a strong connection with the MCU, remains uncertain. Marvel has yet to clarify the status of this show.

Given this situation, fans have been talking for quite some time about the series and the prospect of its characters joining the main Marvel Cinematic Universe. One character who has often been mentioned is Chloe Bennet’s Daisy Johnson (Quake), although her appearance in Phase 4 didn’t materialize. However, the actress has now shared some insights regarding her potential comeback.

Among all characters from the show, Chloe Bennet stood out particularly. She portrayed the character of Quake (also known as Skye and Daisy Johnson) in the series. Although the future of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is uncertain, numerous fans speculated that she might join the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Phase 4; however, this did not come to pass.

Despite having already made a significant impact, the character remains highly beloved by fans, who eagerly await and hope for her continued presence in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) storyline. In a recent conversation with Eric Goldman at Cultured Pop, the actress herself shared her thoughts on potential MCU roles moving forward. Here’s what we’ve uncovered so far:

Informal Pop: Hey, I heard there were some unfounded stories last year about you returning. It’s quite heartening to know that there’s such an enthusiastic crowd who would let a rumor like that circulate, showing how much they still hope for it.

Chloe Bennet: There’s no denying it – the power of the S.H.I.E.L.D. fanbase has always been evident, even if we’re a smaller group. We may have been called “mighty” or something similar on the show. However, I must admit that I’ve been astonished by the unwavering enthusiasm from fans, long after the show ended. Clark [Gregg] once called me in disbelief, saying, “Dude, you’re doing this and you didn’t tell me?!” To which I replied, “Dude, I’m not! I’m not involved!” I even had to ask my team, “Am I part of this and I’m unaware?” They confirmed that I wasn’t.

We’re sadly not part of the current Marvel universe, which is unfortunate given its potential impact that might be underestimated by some. I believe Marvel is missing out on a dedicated fanbase and iconic characters whose significance could exceed expectations. I’d jump at the chance to collaborate again.

Currently, I’m immersed in “Interior Chinatown,” a project I’m incredibly proud of and find utterly captivating. However, the character of Daisy, whom I carried with me throughout, still lingers within me. I haven’t felt quite done with her yet.

“I concur with their sentiment. It seems as if they’ll eventually announce ‘Let’s proceed now.’

Chloe Bennet expresses her thoughts as follows: I believe they can’t refute it, especially since people continue to re-watch it. If given the opportunity, I would gladly take on the role again, now that I’ve had some distance from the project. During those years, I was between 20 and 27 and working on the show. In essence, I was still a youngster! I’d be intrigued to portray Daisy as a fully-grown adult.
