‘Agatha All Along’ Soars on Nielsen Originals Top 10 Chart, While ‘The Penguin’ is Surprisingly Absent

As a seasoned gamer and avid follower of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the success of Agatha All Along. Initially, I wasn’t too optimistic given its unique themes, but the show has proven me wrong, managing to secure a spot on the “Top 10 Originals” list despite being up against some heavyweights like Tulsa King.

The recently released “Agatha All Along” has become the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Surprisingly, due to its distinct storylines, many didn’t expect it to gain such a massive following or draw a substantial audience. Based on initial data from Luminate, the show managed to attract 9.3 million views on Disney+ within its first week of release.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but notice that, although the data isn’t perfectly accurate, it still provides a solid hint about the show’s general appeal. Yet, the numbers are notably less than those of The Acolyte, and since the show first aired, viewership has been on a steady downward trend.

It’s good news that Nielsen has shared the ratings data from September 16 to September 22, 2024, and to everyone’s surprise, “Agatha All Along” found a spot on the “Top 10 Original Shows” list.

That particular week saw “Agatha All Along” amass a total of 426 million minutes in viewership, placing it at the 8th spot. It was closely followed by “Tulsa King,” with slightly higher viewing figures.

Notably missing from the list was “The Penguin”, a series that picks up with Oswald Cobblepot post-events of “The Batman: Part I”.

On its first airing on September 19, the show drew approximately 1.4 million viewers from the United States across all viewing platforms.

As a gaming enthusiast sharing this exciting news, I’ve got some fantastic stats to share about “The Penguin”! The viewership for Episode 4 skyrocketed, pulling in a whopping 1.7 million viewers on Max and HBO within the U.S. That’s a significant jump from the series debut, with a staggering 21.43% increase! Not only that, but it even surpassed the viewership of Episode 2, which drew in 1.6 million viewers. This data is straight from Warner Bros. Discovery, making it clear that “The Penguin” is becoming more and more popular among us gamers!

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been keeping an eye on the latest trends and, from what I’ve gathered based on Nielsen data, “Agatha All Along” is currently stealing the spotlight compared to “The Penguin”. This could be due to the fact that “The Penguin” has only dropped one episode so far. However, with the viewership steadily increasing, there’s a good chance we’ll see “The Penguin” back on top in the next chart.
