As a die-hard Marvel fan who’s been following the MCU since its inception, I must say that Agatha All Along has certainly piqued my interest! The series is a fascinating dive into the enigmatic world of Agatha Harkness, a character whose potential was only hinted at in WandaVision.
The recently unveiled MCU series titled “Agatha All Along” is a spin-off from the popular show WandaVision. Interestingly, this series has undergone numerous name changes before settling on its current title, which we find quite remarkable that it’s persisted until its premiere. Regardless, the much-anticipated series made its debut on Disney+ on September 18, 2024, with two episodes. The remaining seven episodes will be released weekly, wrapping up the series by November 6.
It’s common knowledge that Kathryn Hahn, returning as Agatha Harkness from “WandaVision”, is expected to be a central figure in the series. However, there are also other intriguing Marvel Cinematic Universe characters likely to make an appearance, some of which we’ve touched upon in previous speculation-based reports. As we unravel the enigmas surrounding Agatha’s realm, viewers, particularly after the initial episodes, can’t help but ponder about Scarlet Witch.
As a dedicated fan, it seems the series has left little doubt that Wanda is truly deceased, but Agnes’ cryptic remark, “you never know,” about Wanda has stirred even more speculation regarding her possible resurrection. Intriguingly, showrunner Jac Schaeffer has weighed in on this topic recently.
In case you recall from our previous update, during her interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Elizabeth Olsen hinted at a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by stating this:
I always jump at the chance to revisit this character when she’s handled skillfully, and I consider myself fortunate to have been utilized in such a manner from the start. However, there was a brief moment where I wasn’t quite sure how they were going to utilize me! But if there’s a well-thought-out plan for my return, you can count on me being more than willing.
It seems clear that the possibility remains for these doors to stay ajar, as there have been many whispers suggesting a standalone Scarlet Witch film is under development. This hints that Marvel may not have let go of Wanda and could be planning something new.
For now, it appears that WandaVision’s fellow actor has returned, sparking fan speculation about Wanda potentially reappearing in the show. Recently, showrunner Jac Schaeffer addressed this topic. She stated:
“I am keeping such a good poker face. What I will say is like, I really like how your mind works. That’s my response to that theory. (…) This is Agatha Harkness’s show. So that is what I will say is, Agatha is a lady who takes center stage.”

This certainly expands many potential scenarios, and given the current events, a guest appearance from Wanda may not be as unforeseen as some might suppose. Some could even contend that it’s essential, considering everything, but after this enigmatic response, we can only anticipate and hope for more developments.
