On July 31, 2025, the second DLC titled “Nightwatchers” for the game “Against the Storm” by Eremite Games will become available, exclusively on PC. This expansion introduces a new addition to the diverse inhabitants of your city: bats, who are eager to join your settlements.
Bats are determined and tenacious creatures, capable of evicting other species from their colonies as a means of demonstrating their resolve and encouraging their fellow inhabitants to work harder. When others depart from the colony, their determination intensifies, for they wish to prove their strength and express their disdain for weakness.
In these newly introduced biomes of the expansion, their abilities truly stand out, including the barren Rocky Ravine. Here, not only will their resolve be challenged, but they’ll have ample opportunities to demonstrate their proficiency in metallurgy, as these areas are abundant with minerals and ores.
In this upcoming DLC expansion, I’ve discovered a new biome known as the Bamboo Flats, teeming with unique creatures. One such creature is the colossal Fluffbeak – a potential powerhouse ally for my settlement. By catering to its specific needs, I can transform the barren soil in my area into a thriving oasis!
In addition to the content provided, you’ll encounter fresh orders, global happenings, bonuses, and music tracks as part of the DLC expansion. But there’s more to get excited about: A complimentary update, released simultaneously with the DLC, includes an upgrade for the hub city, mechanical enhancements, a new legendary foundation stone, and additional features.
While Nightwatchers has currently been announced for PC release, its publisher, Hooded Horse, has mentioned that they will share updates on a potential console launch in the future.
