For enthusiasts of Genshin Impact who were impacted by the SAG-AFTRA strike, here’s some positive news: Zach Aguilar and Sarah Miller-Crews, the original voice actors for Aether and Lumine respectively, will be reprising their roles. However, they won’t be back in time for Update 5.7.
In the forthcoming update, the twin characters won’t have any voice output, but this news brings comfort to fans who had concerns that their voice actors might be changed, similar to how HSR’s Trailblazer underwent a voice actor swap.
Aguilar announced he’ll be reprising his role as Voice Aether in Genshin Impact, but not for update 5.7 due to scheduling conflicts. He thanks Hoyo and the whole team for their support. Aether is a significant part of his world, and working on this game for the past five years has been an incredible experience he’s excited to continue. Lots of love to everyone!
Miller-Crews replied with her own message saying: “I’m thrilled to carry on our journey! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Lumine, I can hardly wait for our return to Teyvat.

With Version 5.7 just around the corner, we’re expecting him to make a significant appearance. However, it seems like his voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal, hasn’t given us a solid confirmation about returning in the future. This leaves me wondering if the Twilight Sword might get a high-profile recast, adding another layer of intrigue to the game I love so much.
