Remember, it wasn’t too long ago we learned that an Adventure Time Movie, titled The Adventure Time, was in production. Additionally, there were rumors of multiple spinoff series being developed. However, what will truly transport you back to The Land of Ooo in 2025? That would be a new comic series for Adventure Time from Oni Press. Indeed, fans can start getting thrilled as early as April 2025 (that’s April next year) with the release of a monthly series of Adventure Time comics. The journey begins with Adventure Time #1, which will be available on shelves on April 9.

A New Adventure Time Comic Series Is on the Way
Intrigued about the fresh Adventure Time comic book series? Let me fill you in! The storyline will revolve around our beloved characters such as Finn, Jake, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, and many more. They will embark on thrilling new journeys across the magical land of Ooo, which I’ll share details about soon.
The comic series will showcase all the beloved heroes of Adventure Time, but it will also bring together an amazing team of creators who are bursting with talent to work behind the scenes.
In addition, the monthly series will feature renowned cartoonists and animators such as Nick Winn from “Bloody Mary”, Eisner Award-winning Caroline Cash who created “PeePee PooPoo”, Asia Simone known for “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: Wreck and Roll”, Jorge Monlongo of “Over the Garden Wall: Hallow Town”, Brenda Hicke famous for “My Little Pony”, and Derek Ballard, a former Adventure Time writer/storyboard artist and 2024 LA Times Book Prize Finalist. Each will contribute to bringing stories to life in this series.

The initial comic in this series commences the opening act of the “Best Friends Forever” storyline. The official synopsis for the story reveals that Adventure Time #1 will initiate with a burst of whimsy as it hurtles into an unforeseen new adventure for Finn the Human and Jake the Dog, introducing fresh challenges, strange creatures, and a brand-new princess who will collide with their journey.
