Teenage years have brought about marvels on digital displays, and one such blockbuster series captivates audiences with an engaging plot. Despite the incredible success of its first season, recent news from Deadline suggests that Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, is discussing a potential second season with the show’s creators.
During an interview with a media outlet, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, co-presidents of Plan B, revealed they’ve been communicating with the director about the potential next phase of the Adolescence Netflix series.
During an interview, the gardener shared that the team is working hard on generating concepts for the upcoming season, aiming to leave viewers astonished, much like they were with the debut season. The vice-president of the production studio asserted that they plan to expand their creative scope, remain faithful to its essence, and avoid repetition.
Instead, Kleiner expressed his hope that creators Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham would be in agreement about a potential second season.
The four-part drama series titled “Adolescence” centers around a high school student portrayed by Owen Cooper, who stands accused of murdering one of his female classmates. The narrative unfolds as the legal proceedings related to this crime unfold. Upon its debut, it quickly garnered interest from over 10 million viewers in just its first week. It sparked discussions and debates about the issue of gender-based violence.
As per the current Netflix ranking, the show stands at the fourth position in the U.K.
During discussions on the cinematography and single-take episodes of the series, the creators shared, “Phil’s approach to filming episodes in one take is not just a trick. It aligns significantly with the show’s themes.
All episodes of Adolescence are available to stream on Netflix.
