Actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, well-known enthusiasts of the show “Severance”, showed great enthusiasm towards the Season 2 finale. In contrast, lead actor Adam Scott, portraying Mark in the Apple TV+ series, is currently steering clear of their reaction to the final episode.
According to Scott, Bell and Shepard left him a rude voicemail regarding the finale. “They left me a message that was quite impolite,” Scott told PEOPLE at the Severance PaleyFest panel on March 22. “I can’t repeat what they said because it’s incredibly offensive, and I haven’t responded yet, but I will.”
Adam Scott disclosed that Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard received early previews of the series, allowing them to discuss it on their podcast. He added that although they had a strong initial response, they ended up enjoying the program immensely.
Scott is now familiar with the candid views of Bell and Shepard. He noted that the team has been observing the series for some time and appreciates it.
He also mentioned that they were consistently interested in receiving opinions from the audience regarding the ending. Although he valued the comments from Bell and Shepard, he clarified that they had posted a highly insensitive remark instead.
Previously, Scott discussed the excitement expressed by Bell and Shepard during their appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. On this occasion, Clarkson shared some of the voicemails they had sent.
Shepard exclaimed, “Alright, you blighter! Bell and I were on the edge of our seats, eager to see what unfolded… Oh dear, we’re absolutely furious that this episode concluded so abruptly!”, with Bell adding in the background, “You bunch of failures!
Scott isn’t shy about retaliating; he fires off defensive voicemails as replies. Clarkson played an example where he responded to Shepard’s criticisms by claiming that instead of filming, he was enjoying a soak in a hot tub, away from the set. He jokingly suggested that Shepard should consider eating humble pie instead.
