Sandra Echeverría shared a story about an incident with Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson while filming a car scene in the movie Savages. She explained that she was meant to be tied up in the trunk of a truck for a kidnapping scene, but during breaks, the actors repeatedly revved the engine, causing her to be thrown around inside and get hurt.
She explained that because her hands and feet were bound, she felt helpless and distressed when the truck’s engine was revved. This upset her and angered her father, who witnessed the event. Later, one of the actors involved apologized, but she chose not to confront them, harboring resentment towards both celebrities. At the film’s premiere, Aaron offered a separate apology, and seemed genuinely remorseful, though Taylor didn’t appear concerned. She questioned whether this incident highlighted the power dynamics within Hollywood, expressing her uncertainty about the situation.
