DeFi Gets Its Due 💅

Aave integrates Chainlink SVR to recapture oracle-related MEV

Listen up, you DeFi degenerates 💸. Aave – the hottest protocol in the biz – just voted to do something *actually* smart. They’re finally gonna stop those pesky oracles from siphoning off their juicy MEV!

Apparently, Aave’s been losing millions to these oracle shenanigans 🙄. But not anymore! They’ve teamed up with Chainlink (bless their little blockchain hearts 🙏) to bring in their fancy new Smart Value Recapture (SVR) feature.

Think of it like this: oracles are the gossips of the blockchain world, always spreading rumours and taking a cut for the information. SVR is the blockchain equivalent of putting a gag order on those gossips 🤫.

This whole thing is a big deal because it’s basically setting a new standard for DeFi. Imagine a world where protocols actually keep their hard-earned money, instead of handing it over to some algorithm on a whim! 🤯

So, who’s behind this DeFi revolution? Well, it’s a whole squad of brilliant minds: Chainlink, BGD Labs, Aave Chan Initiative, and even Flashbots (the blockchain superheroes 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️).

SVR is gonna work its magic by recapturing oracle-related MEV through Chainlink’s oracle networks and Flashbots’ MEV-Share service. Basically, Aave is about to get a serious cash injection 💰.

“Optimizing liquidation algorithms on DeFi while keeping the protocols financially and technically secure is a massive endeavor. But once again, the Aave-Chainlink partnership delivers, innovating responsibly on the edge with SVR and its OEV recapturing model,” Ernesto Boado, the co-founder of BGD Labs, said in a statement.

For now, Aave will be focusing on recapturing liquidation MEV from Threshold Bitcoin (tBTC), LBTC, AAVE, and LINK. More markets will be added soon, so watch this space!

And the best part? Aave and Chainlink are gonna split the delicious MEV pie. 🥧 65% for Aave and 35% for Chainlink communities. Chainlink plans to convert its portion into LINK and distribute it to their network service providers.
