Aaron Goodwin’s Shocking ‘Ghost Adventures’ Episode Reveals Wife’s Murder Plot

A new episode of “Ghost Adventures” captured a shocking and personal moment for host Aaron Goodwin.

While filming at the abandoned Hollydale Mental Hospital in Downey, California, Goodwin discovered his wife, Victoria Goodwin, had been arrested for conspiring to murder him. The episode was released on Discovery+ on Wednesday.

A video initially shared by TMZ shows 49-year-old Goodwin looking shocked while checking his phone. He says, “Hold on one second,” and then steps away to answer a call.

During a show, cast member Jay Wasley checked on Goodwin, asking if he was okay. Goodwin replied that the police were at his home and he needed to leave immediately, quickly exiting the hospital. The show’s producers shortened the footage to respect Goodwin’s privacy.

I was shocked to hear about Victoria Goodwin! Apparently, she’s been accused of trying to have her husband killed – can you believe that? Reports say she actually tried to hire someone to do it. What’s even more disturbing is that, according to TMZ, she was already involved with other men, including a convicted killer named Grant Amato, before all this happened. It’s a really crazy situation.

Amato, who is serving a life sentence in Florida for killing his family, began corresponding with Victoria as a pen pal after being featured in the documentary “Ctrl+Alt+Desire.”

According to police, Victoria began messaging Amato in October 2024, telling him she wanted to kill her husband instead of going through a divorce.

Investigators say one message read, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his life, not get a divorce.” She’s accused of offering $11,515 to someone to kill him and shared details about where he could be found. The plan was uncovered when prison guards found her phone, which she wasn’t allowed to have.

Following the revelation of the storyline, Aaron filed for divorce. He announced on Instagram Tuesday that he wouldn’t be watching the episode, stating he didn’t want to revisit the events of that night and what led up to the phone call. He also described the situation as unsettling and the lockdown as ‘insane’ given what occurred during their investigation.
