This video shows an amazing transformation: an old typewriter rebuilt into a working gaming computer. The creator completely redesigned the machine, making the original keyboard function like a modern one and cleverly mounting a PC screen above where the paper used to go. The screen now slides down with each keystroke, mimicking the action of the typewriter. It’s a fascinating project that’s sure to give you something to think about!
I actually like the concept of building a gaming computer into a typewriter. However, the finished product in this video is a little underwhelming. The preview image shows a Minecraft screen on top of a typewriter keyboard, which makes it seem like a fully functional setup. But the video itself just shows a computer stuck onto the typewriter’s arms with duct tape – there’s no actual gameplay. I’m hoping the creator, Prototype, can pull it all together in future videos, as they hinted at, so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt for now.
Right now, only the first part of this project is available on the channel, but we’re hoping to see more! A fully functioning typewriter-computer combination would be amazing. Even though the video doesn’t quite wrap up perfectly, it’s still really fun to watch. It makes you wonder what other incredible inventions people will come up with next.
