A POWER RANGERS Series at Disney+ Is in the Works

It appears that the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers are set to return with a fresh series on a highly regarded streaming platform, as reported by The Wrap. Intriguingly, writers and producers Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz of Percy Jackson and the Olympians fame are in negotiations to create and manage a live-action Power Rangers series for Disney+. Hasbro will be responsible for producing this new show, with the goal of attracting a whole new crop of enthusiasts.

Since the ’90s TV show, we’ve encountered numerous interpretations of the iconic teenage heroes. Some are excellent, while others could use some improvement. However, it might just be our lucky day as we attempt to strike gold again with the Power Rangers. On Disney+, the Percy Jackson series is a hit and is set for a third season. Steinberg and Shotz have managed to pay tribute to the original material while also adding a unique twist in their adaptation. Maybe they can accomplish something similar with the Power Rangers as well.
