They are not perfect, they have their flaws, and there is definitely some dysfunctionality behind those grand walls. However, it’s important to remember that they also serve an incredibly significant role in our society, and I must admit, I am often left in awe of the work they do.

James Haskell, a former confidant of Prince Harry, recently made some critical comments about the British monarchy during an interview with The London Times. In this discussion, he reminisced about spending considerable amounts of time with members of the royal household at Windsor Castle.

After interacting with the monarchy and others, Haskell discovered that they’re actually a contemporary household dealing with insecurities and issues, similar to many families. Moreover, he hinted that not every family member is flawless or exceptional.

During the interview, Haskell noted, “Not everyone is equally outstanding. While they produce exceptional work, they also embody a contemporary family that’s quite chaotic and troubled.

The rugby player pointed out some disadvantages of the British monarchy but also conceded that they “play a crucial part,” expressing admiration for their work.

The interview arises following the latest news suggesting a tension between Prince Harry and his brother, “yet it’s not beyond repair.

Beyond reports suggesting strained ties between Harry and his father, the Duke of Sussex makes it a point to be available whenever the Monarch requires his presence. For example, upon the announcement of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, Harry promptly returned to his hometown to visit his father.

While in the U.K. for the Invictus Games, Prince Harry didn’t arrange any meetings with the country’s ruler or his sibling during that time.

Since 2020, when they stepped away from the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have resided in California. Their decision to leave has led to some tension within their family relationships.

The Sussexes – Duke and Duchess Harry and Meghan – moved to the U.S., taking along their child, Prince Archie, and subsequently had a daughter named Princess Lilibet in the former star of “Suits” residence, which is his home state.
