As a passionate player, I can’t stress enough the significance of enhancing your Palico’s support moves, and often, this involves the capture of peculiar insects like bugs. For instance, in the quest “A Gutsy Move,” your Palico companion will require your assistance to nab a Giant Vigorwasp. While you might have encountered the smaller versions, these larger ones can be quite elusive, particularly if you’re unaware of their life cycle.

Find a Giant Vigorwasp

Giant Vigorwasps can be spotted exclusively during seasons of abundance. Look for these colossal wasps in the Redwood Forest, specifically in Area 8. Interestingly, there are three of them residing there. If the forest’s season isn’t appropriate, alter it using your Guild Points in a nearby tent.

To catch the colossal Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds, the process is identical to any other native creature: Grab your net from the Item Pouch quickbar, target the bug and release the net. Avoid engaging with the Giant Vigorwasp as it will burst if you get too close.

Once you’ve caught the bug, make your way back to your Palico to finish the quest named “A Gutsy Move”. Rewards for completing this task include three Ancient Potions, five Max Potions, a new Vigorwasp Revival move for your Palico Support, and additional powerful tools in your Palico’s toolkit to assist you during hunts.
