A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder: Emma Myers REVEALS She Learned British Accent In Two Weeks For Show

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for emerging talent, I must say Emma Myers has truly impressed me with her performance in the latest Netflix hit, Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Her ability to master a British accent in just two weeks is nothing short of remarkable!

Emma Myers has been praised for her outstanding performance in the recently released Netflix series, Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. In this production, she played the character of Pip Fitz-Amobi. During an interview with Variety, Myers shared that she managed to master a British accent within just two weeks to prepare for the role.

In an interview with a media outlet, Myers, known for her role in Wednesday featuring Jenna Ortega, revealed that the character she plays in this film deviates significantly from her previous roles. She additionally disclosed some details about the injuries she sustained during filming.

“Indeed, I must admit I felt quite apprehensive about accepting the role since there were just two weeks between agreeing to it and starting filming,” Myers explained during the interview when asked about the difficulties she encountered while mastering the accent and keeping up with the fast-paced scenes. Furthermore, she shared that at first, she was reluctant to join the project, but she received excellent guidance from the dialect coach.

As the discussion progressed, the actress was questioned about any resemblances between her and the character in “Good Girl’s Guide to Murder”. Myers then disclosed that this character possesses distinct qualities that set it apart from typical individuals.

Apart from stating this role is unique for her, she mentioned that Pip shares similarities with her own personality, which is rare in the characters she’s played. She found the prospect of tackling such a character intriguing, as many assume playing oneself is simpler, but it turns out to be more difficult. She welcomed the challenge this role presented.

Myers also mentioned, “She has a deep affection for people and is driven to help them. Once she’s involved, she can’t step away until it’s completed. And I find myself feeling the same way when I’m committed to something. So, I was genuinely thrilled to portray her character.”

The TV show “The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” is adapted from Holly Jackson’s novel with the same title. Some viewers notice that the series storyline differs from the book, especially when comparing the first season. When discussing this, Myers explained, “Given that we only have six episodes and the book is quite extensive, it’s challenging to include every minor detail that doesn’t contribute significantly to the plot. Due to time constraints.”

The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is available to stream on Netflix.
