As a dedicated follower of the Duggar family, I must say that Jana Duggar’s wedding to Stephen Wissmann was a beautiful and heartwarming event. Being a fan of the Counting On series, it has been fascinating to watch Jana grow from a young girl with dreams of marriage into a woman who finally found her happily ever after.

On August 15th, Jana Duggar, the eldest child from the famous Duggar family featured on Counting On, tied the knot with Stephen Wissmann at a straightforward, timeless ceremony in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. The 34-year-old reality star had eagerly awaited this day for quite some time, and it was made real amidst an audience of 500 people, which included her extensive family and closest friends.

Jana has long dreamt of getting married, and right before her big day, she expressed her sentiments about the wedding to PEOPLE. She stated, “It’s like something every girl imagines will happen at some point.”

As a follower, it seemed as though the moment I’d been waiting for would never arrive. But now, the realization is slowly dawning upon me. The harshness of reality is beginning to settle in, and yet, it’s a sensation that’s both humbling and surreal. On her unique off-the-shoulder ivory satin ball gown, Jana gracefully made her way down the aisle, accompanied by her father, Jim Bob Duggar, to the melodious tune of “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Overjoyed with her choice, she shared that the dress gave her a sense of elegance and princess-like charm for her memorable day.

The celebration took place at The Grand at Willow Springs, a visually appealing site selected by Jana and Stephen due to its untouched charm. As Jana put it, “The location is already so stunningly beautiful that I didn’t want to add too many alterations.”

As a devoted participant, I selected a tastefully sophisticated motif for our special day. My groomsmen donned sleek black suits, while my bridesmaids gracefully adorned champagne-hued gowns. As an ardent admirer, I was utterly thrilled to see Jessa Duggar Seewald serving as the maid of honor at the wedding. Her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, along with my sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar, graced the occasion as bridesmaids. The couple shared heartfelt traditional vows and symbolically lit a unity candle, representing their profound bond coming together as one.

After the event concluded, Jana and Stephen carried on the festivities by entertaining their attendees at an elegant dinner gathering. It was the bride’s family who cooked up a delicious feast consisting of chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, bread rolls, and coleslaw.

Jana mentioned that since their wedding is in the evening, she imagined it to be more formal with a sit-down dinner. She went on to say that the Wissmann family are exceptional cooks and they have been preparing a full meal for this event. When asked if they were ready, she replied, “Just go ahead. I trust you all. You’re going to create fantastic food.”

Additionally, there were engaging games and activities that took place, overseen by one of Jana’s brothers-in-law who acted as the master of ceremonies. After touching speeches, the couple danced together for the first time, followed by Jana throwing her bouquet to the guests.
