Season 21 of Project Runway is eagerly awaited by viewers, as it’s coming back to our screens soon. Fans of Heidi Klum are looking forward to seeing her step into the role as host for the Disney reboot.
Although the grand debut of the series is yet weeks off, it’s already generating excitement amongst viewers, with the trailer racking up an impressive 49 million views.
The show’s trailer created a freeform history, as it recorded the highest viewership to date.
Furthermore, Project Runway reached this significant achievement only nine days following its release on the streaming service.
Project Runway trailer breaks records
Project Runway has arranged its platform once more, welcoming Heidi Klum back to our screens after a nearly 7-year hiatus. Previously, Klum was last seen on the small screen in 2018. Additionally, Klum will be joined by Nina García, Law Roach, and Christian Siriano in this new season.
Based on Disney’s updates, the show’s trailer shattered the previous record on Freeform when it was surpassed by Cruel Summer 2 in 2023, and within only 10 days, it attracted a viewership of 24 million viewers.
The show first aired in 2004, marking a significant change in the fashion world and how models are dressed on television. Initially airing on Bravo for five seasons, it was then moved to Lifetime for 11 additional seasons. However, since its 17th season, Project Runway has been back on Bravo again.
The production is highly praised by Spyglass Media Group and Alfred Street Industries. Additionally, a team of other producers including Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, Michael Rucker, San Heng, Klum, Siriano, and Garcia are also involved in the project.
Project Runway will be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ from July 31.
