New Balance collaborates with Shohei Ohtani to introduce a high-quality, Japanese-made short-sleeve knit, seamlessly combining expert workmanship with Ohtani’s unique aesthetic.
Each T-shirt, available in only 100 units per color, is crafted from high-quality cotton yarn that’s tightly twisted together. This yarn is then woven on an uncommon, high-density knitting machine. The end product boasts a lavishly dry feel and a sleek, seamless appearance thanks to traditional interlinking stitches. Delicate design elements include a narrow ribbed edge and a label with Ohtani’s signature, sewn onto it in blue thread.
These t-shirts come in three timeless colors – white, gray, and black – and arrive in a collector’s box with a unique serial number. Priced at approximately $230 USD (33,000 JPY), they blend Japanese textile artistry with New Balance’s long-term collaboration with one of baseball’s most influential global figures. Although an official release date and site have not been revealed yet, it is expected that you can find them on Ohtani’s exclusive New Balance webpage shortly.
