In our chat, she shared some personal details too – she’s altered her diet now. Interestingly, the multiple Grammy winner admitted to giving up veganism after close to a decade, opting instead for a diet that includes meats like beef, poultry such as chicken, and seafood like fish.

She divulged that when she followed a vegan diet, her meals were primarily composed of substitutes for meats, large amounts of bread, rice, and substantial quantities of these foods to maintain fullness. In actuality, her daily caloric intake ranged from 3,000 to 5,000 calories.

Lizzo’s dietary transformation started during her journey to Japan, where she observed a significant change in how her body reacted to animal-based meals. She had heard that the Japanese diet was considered the healthiest globally. Lizzo expressed her feelings by saying, “My body was elated. It was craving more and more of it. And I thought, ‘This is what my body prefers.’
