In Elder Scrolls Online, Hero’s Return serves as a welcoming guide for players who are back, offering tutorials, missions, incentives, and complimentary teleportation to wayshrines, making it easier for them to get reacquainted with the game.
In Update 46, Elder Scrolls Online introduces a wealth of fresh content and enhancements. This update continues the excitement generated by the success of Oblivion Remastered, aiming to captivate both returning and new players with its immersive MMO environment.
After being launched, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has experienced ten years of regular content updates, which can feel overwhelming for even veteran players trying to get reacclimated. To assist with navigating Tamriel during these periods, the game offers a feature called Hero’s Return.
What is Hero’s Return in Elder Scrolls Online?
In Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), there’s a special feature called “Hero’s Return” designed to help players who have been away from the game reacclimate more smoothly by offering tutorials, quests, and incentives. If it’s been a while since you last logged into ESO, this feature will automatically activate, and you’ll be greeted with a “welcome back” message. From there, you can start on a brief, 10-15 minute quest related to Hero’s Return and collect various helpful items as rewards.
Hero’s Return Adventure
The Hero’s Return Adventure is an additional mission that takes around 10-15 minutes for experienced players to finish. It’s designed to help players brush up on their battle techniques and spatial awareness. Essentially, it functions as a guide or training session, rewarding you with some useful items upon completion. After finishing the quest, or choosing to skip it, the stage transitions to Hero’s Return Golden Pursuit.
Hero’s Return Golden Pursuit
Hero’s Return Golden Pursuit grants temporary login bonuses to encourage former players to re-engage, helping them become comfortable again with the game. Additionally, it launches mini campaigns focused on resource collection, delving into fresh content, and experimenting with altered game mechanics. During this period, travel via wayshrines is free, and players receive a Wayshrine Navigation Map. This map reveals hidden wayshrines within a zone when activated.
In simpler terms, Hero’s Return Golden Pursuit serves as a guide for players getting back into the game, explaining its mechanics while offering rewards. Since the game’s release, developers have made several improvements, and these missions help returning players adjust to the updates, such as the revamped map that they can practice navigating during their playthrough of Hero’s Return Golden Pursuit.
Similar to a Waypoint Guide in Tamriel, the rewards gained from completing these quests and logging in regularly are designed to facilitate your smooth re-entry into this world. Upon finishing the Hero’s Return Golden Questline, you’ll find yourself well-prepared to continue your Elder Scrolls Online journey.
