In the coming film titled F1, Brad Pitt is slated to reappear on our screens as Sonny Hayes. He’ll be slipping into the role of a skilled racer, sharing the screen with Damson Idris. The movie will be directed by Joseph Kosinski.
Before the highly anticipated premiere, Pitt shared with TopMob an exclusive detail: He had the most intense, realistic driving sensation during the movie’s filming at actual racing venues.
Furthermore, the actor from Wolf’s portrayed that Formula One (F1) caters to both die-hard enthusiasts of the sport and those who are not regular race spectators. He labeled the movie as “engaging in numerous aspects.
Brad Pitt’s adrenaline rush was at its peak while filming for F1
As an utterly smitten aficionado, I can’t help but share my excitement: I was right there alongside Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, racing alongside the genuine Formula One drivers for our movie! Can you believe it? In a recent interview, the legendary Brad Pitt confessed to a media outlet that he still can’t fathom how we daringly navigated those high-speed racecars at the Grand Prix. It was nothing short of exhilarating!
The Academy Award-winning actor expressed his bewilderment, saying, “I’m still unsure of how we managed to pull it off,” referring to “the most thrilling car ride ever captured on film.
Pitt elaborated, “In these vehicles, the powerful forces during high-speed turns and the overall physics are so intense they seem to threaten to detach your head from your body. It’s astonishing what these cars are capable of, offering a thrill unmatched by anything I’ve felt before. We simply couldn’t convey that sensation in any other way.
In addition to our previous discussion, the actor mentioned their perspective on how various groups of viewers might interpret the film.
He mentioned, ” threading the needle proved to be quite a hurdle, yet I believe we’ve successfully managed to make it illuminating and comprehensible for beginners, without oversimplifying it for seasoned enthusiasts.
The actor, who’s in a relationship with Ines de Ramon, went on to express, “It’s amusing, it’s forceful, it’s thrilling, and surprisingly heartfelt. I adore each of these characters. I believe this movie is incredibly enjoyable on numerous dimensions.
What is F1: The Movie about?
Regarding “F1: The Movie,” Sonny Hayes, played by Pitt, was once a highly renowned figure in Formula One racing. However, his career took a turn for the worse following a tragic accident.
Approximately three decades have passed, and Hayes encounters his old teammate, Ruben Cervantes, who manages to persuade him to return to racing in order to help save his team.
As a devoted follower reporting on the film’s ensemble, I find myself part of an impressive lineup that includes Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Simone Ashley, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. This movie is masterfully directed by Joseph Kosinski, who has previously worked on the Tom Cruise-led Top Gun: Maverick.
Jerry Bruckheimer, along with Kosinski, Lewis Hamilton (a seven-time Formula 1 world champion), Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Chad Oman have all joined as the producers for this upcoming movie.
F1 opens in theaters on June 27, 2025.
