Elden Ring Nightreign’s most annoying random event was apparently never meant to be so tricky to deal with, as FromSoft fixes “a bug where the Demon Merchant would spawn near the Night’s Tide”

The recent update for Elden Ring, version 1.01.3, has been released, and it appears that it could potentially simplify dealing with the game’s most frustrating random occurrence under certain conditions, during its co-op action RPG play.

If you’ve encountered multiple Nightlords in Limveld, there’s a possibility you might have come across a message telling you that “a demon has cast a curse upon you,” causing a substantial reduction in your health that you can’t recover naturally. To resolve this predicament, you need to track down the demon responsible for the curse, and either vanquish it or negotiate a way out without paying a hefty toll in runes.

In simpler terms, encountering the demon at the edge of the Night’s Tide, a hazardous area in the game, can make things tricky. If you get injured there and can’t recover health, it could determine whether you win or lose. Fortunately, FromSoftware has addressed an issue where the Demon Merchant would appear near the Night’s Tide during certain events, making such situations less frequent. This change should help players avoid getting stuck in such challenging scenarios.

The patch also contains several other bug fixes worth mentioning, one of them being the issue where players might unjustifiably lose a battle after being revived from the brink of death against Nightlord or other Night bosses. Now, you can rest assured that such crucial comebacks won’t slip away from you unfairly.
