Woman of Tomorrow

It’s not surprising, as the “Supergirl” movie will be following suit with its “Superman” counterpart by dropping its subtitle, “Tomorrow Woman.

Gunn’s originally titled his new Man of Steel movie “Superman: Legacy,” but now it’s just Superman.

It’s the same for Supergirl.

What did James Gunn say?

During an interview with Rolling Stone, it’s been noted that Supergirl is no longer known as Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. This change has indeed been verified by Gunn.

“I think it’s just called Supergirl.

He goes on to explain why they dropped the “Legacy” subtitle from Superman:

I’m tired of the format that uses a colon and an additional name for superheroes. It feels like a nod to the past when we’re focusing on the future, even though it ties into the movie’s theme of legacy. And most people agreed, ‘Yes, definitely change it.’

Additionally, Gunn shared that he had visited the set of “Supergirl” right as filming commenced, and he expressed his belief that the movie would turn out well.

” And we’ve been really lucky so far, because Supergirl’s script was so fucking good off the bat.”

Craig Gillespie serves as the film’s director, while Ana Nogueira penned the screenplay. Additionally, James Gunn played a significant role in the development of the script.

* Milly Alock plays Supergirl, Eve Ridley portrays Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts acts as the antagonist Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz assumes the role of Zor-El, and Emily Beecham takes on the character of Alura. Jason Momoa is cast as Lobo in this production.
