On June 4th, Jessie J shared on her Instagram that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, reaching out to her 13.9 million followers. She clarified any rumors and let them know she would be taking a break following the Summertime Ball to prioritize her health. Just under two weeks later, she’s already performed before an enthusiastic audience who applauded her speech and are eagerly awaiting her return to good health.

Today, this performance is a profoundly significant moment in my life, as it marks the final show I’ll give before I embark on my battle against breast cancer. Each note, each movement holds an extraordinary meaning for me, and I am deeply touched by it.

As I prepare for my surgery and all that follows, I find solace in the fact that I have so much to live for – you, my loved ones, my career, my son, my partner, my parents, my family, my band, my crew, my people. We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by so much love, joy, and opportunities. I am beyond grateful for this life we share.

Earlier on, she openly discussed that her diagnosis came before the global release of her hit song “No Secrets”. In response, she decided to put in more effort and faced the revelation. She also announced her intentions to take some time off, desiring to be transparent with her fans who have stood by her throughout her career.
