Vision Quest to Feature Human-Like AI Characters to Cut VFX Costs and Speed Up Release According to Rumors

Initially when “WandaVision” debuted, Marvel disclosed that two spin-offs were underway. One focused on Agatha Harkness and the other on White Vision. With the recent airing of “Agatha All Along”, enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the concluding part of this unofficial trilogy: “Vision Quest”.

Information about the upcoming series titled “Vision Quest” is limited, but it’s clear that the storyline will focus on White Vision post-events of “WandaVision”. Additionally, there are indications that Ultron may reappear in some form within this series. Furthermore, whispers suggest that the show might introduce Jocasta, who is known as Ultron’s Bride in the Marvel Universe.

Actor Paul Bettany has disclosed that he’s been catching up on “Agatha All Along” during his preparations, subtly suggesting a significant link between the series and his upcoming role.

Now, Daniel Richtman notable industry insider, shared yet another detail regarding the show.

In the “Vision Quest” series, Richtman mentioned that the production team is opting for a more cost-effective approach regarding special effects. Instead of relying heavily on computer-generated effects to make the robot or AI characters appear robotic, they will mainly portray them as human-like. This decision allows for a quicker completion of the show and potential release as early as next year.

Principal photography for the movie titled “Vision Quest” began on March 14, 2025, at Pinewood Studios in London. During this phase, it was temporarily known as “Tin Man.” Directors Terry Matalas, Laura Byrne, Vincenzo Natali, and Samira Monteiro were overseeing the production process.

The individuals responsible for cinematography are Christopher Ross and Neville Kidd. Originally planned to start filming towards the end of 2024, it commenced slightly later. Amelia Allwarden is responsible for editing the series; she also previously worked on the show Echo (2024).

The movie titled “Vision Quest” is scheduled for release on Disney+ in the year 2026, and it falls under Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
