Speculation swirls that Hugh Jackman may reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbusters, “Doomsday” and “Secret Wars.
On a Friday, Hugh Jackman shared a video where he was working out with weights. Typically, when Jackman resumes training, it’s in preparation for reprising his role as Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to Reunite with Classic X-Men Cast in Avengers: Doomsday?
If it’s true that Hugh Jackman will reappear in Avengers: Doomsday, he’ll be reuniting with his previously announced X-Men co-stars such as Kelsey Grammer (Beast), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), and James Marsden (Cyclops). Channing Tatum is also set to return as Gambit, a role he played alongside Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Rumors also offer Famke Janssen will be back as Jean Grey, with Halle Berry as Storm.
Last time Hugh Jackman appeared alongside the X-Men crew was in 2014’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” If he returns, it would mark the first occasion that his character Wolverine engages directly with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I just came across a spoiler suggesting an upcoming clash between the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

The movie titled “Avengers: Doomsday” will hit theaters on December 18, 2026, with Joe and Anthony Russo at the helm. Meanwhile, “Secret Wars” is set for release a year later, on December 17, 2027, as filming for both is currently taking place in the UK.
The confirmed roster for the 27-member team includes Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, Tom Hiddleston, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Danny Ramirez, Hannah John-Kamen, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, Channing Tatum, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Lewis Pullman, and Robert Downey Jr. It’s also been whispered that 33 more actors might join the ensemble.
