This summer, you can catch the return of Batman in the anime series titled “Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League“. It will be available for streaming only on Max, starting from this coming Thursday, July 3.
Back to Feudal Japan
In the aftermath of the 2018 anime “Batman Ninja”, the latest movie finds Batman returning to feudal Japan. This time around, he encounters a formidable new foe โ the Yakuza League, which consists of his once-loyal allies turned corrupt. The atmosphere is ruthless and chaotic, as warring Yakuza gangs ravage a society that has abandoned its moral code.
Familiar Team, Fresh Fight
The original creative crew behind “Batman Ninja” has reunited for another project. This time, Jumpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi are in charge of direction, with Kazuki Nakashima penning the script, Takashi Okazaki handling character designs, and Yugo Kanno creating the music score. Notably, Koichi Yamadera will once again lend his voice to Batman.
At Anime Expo 2024, the movie made its initial appearance, and it’s a joint venture between Warner Bros. Japan and Kamikaze Douga for its production.
Cast Includes Major DC Characters
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that this epic production boasts an all-star Japanese voice cast. Koichi Yamadera steps into the role of Batman, with Yuki Kaji donning the Robin suit, Kengo Kawanishi bringing Red Robin to life, Daisuke Ono portraying Nightwing, Akira Ishida as the menacing Red Hood, Ayane Sakura shining as Green Lantern, Akio Otsuka lending his voice to Aquaman, Nobuyuki Hiyama embodying The Flash, Romi Park taking on Wonder Woman, Rie Kugimiya voicing Harley Quinn, Wataru Takagi becoming The Joker, Hochu Otsuka assuming the role of Alfred, Masaki Terasoma portraying Gordon, and Kazuhiro Yamaji breathes life into Ra’s al Ghul.
