Returning to Camp Blood
The “Crystal Lake” series is a prequel to the “Friday the 13th” films, created by A24 and overseen by showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (known for “Tokyo Vice” and “Black Sails”). This series delves into the happenings that ultimately resulted in Jason Voorhees’ metamorphosis into the infamous slasher wearing a hockey mask.
In a new interpretation, actress Cardellini takes on the role of Pamela Voorhees, a tormented and vindictive mother to Jason. This character was initially brought to life by Betsy Palmer in the 1980 movie, with other performers portraying her in subsequent sequels and reboots.
The complete team of executive producers for the show consists of Kane, Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, both Robert Barsamians (Robert M. and Robert P.), and Stuart Manashil.
