82-year-old Sylvester Stewart, better known as Sly Stone, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025. Known for his contributions to music and songwriting in America, he reportedly succumbed to a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other existing health problems.
As reported by his family, he passed away tranquilly surrounded by his three kids, a trusted friend, and extended family members.
