After the “Money in the Bank” event, the latest episode of Raw on Netflix was generally satisfactory, but what really stood out was its surprising finale, which promises intriguing developments within the WWE universe in the future.
John Cena / CM Punk Seth Rollins
Initially, I found myself witnessing John Cena’s journey post his defeat at the Money in the Bank, orchestrated by R-Truth. But it was CM Punk, not R-Truth, who stepped forward to confront Cena. They exchanged words, with Punk demanding a title match – right here, right now! Unfortunately, this only set up their encounter at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Seth Rollins also made an appearance, but the interaction fizzled out. As we transitioned to a commercial break, I couldn’t help but feel let down. I felt they missed an opportunity to leverage recent events and further develop the narrative.

AJ Styles vs. Chad Gable
Upcoming match: AJ Styles versus Chad Gable. Admit it, neither of them particularly grab my interest. However, AJ Styles emerged victorious in this bout.

Rhea Ripley vs. Kairi Sane vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Liv Morgan
The contest between Rhea Ripley, Kairi Sane, Roxanne Perez, and Liv Morgan was well-fought. The victory went to Roxanne Perez, moving her forward in the Queen of the Ring Tournament. I must admit, I wanted to see Rhea Ripley win because she received the most cheers. However, Perez’s victory sets up potential conflict with Liv Morgan.

Following that there was a promo with Becky Lynch “The Man.” This also failed to impress. Next…

R-Truth promo
Later, R-Truth appears in a disappointingly dull segment. Emerging from the audience, he climbs up onto the commentary table and chops off his own hair. That was quite a shock, but it didn’t lead to anything significant. Who will R-Truth have conflicts with next? Here are some possibilities:
1. John Cena
2. Roman Reigns
3. The Miz
4. Kevin Owens
5. Seth Rollins
6. Bobby Lashley
7. Drew McIntyre
8. Edge
9. Big E
10. Xavier Woods

Sami Zayn vs. Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Bron Breakker
Another great contest: Sami Zayn versus Penta, Dominik Mysterio, and Bron Breakker. The victory went to Sami Zayn, moving him forward to the King of the Ring. I personally hoped Bron Breakker would emerge victorious instead. Being an old-timer, I can’t wait for Bron Breakker to make a comeback alongside his father, Scott Steiner.

Nikki Bella promo
After making her comeback to WWE, it was Nikki Bella’s turn. However, I found myself questioning the style choice when I saw her sporting her hat flipped backward. Moving forward…

Jey Uso vs. Gunther
Jey Uso vs. Gunther! New champ! Wow!
It’s quite unexpected, isn’t it? And here we have Jey Uso submitting in the same manner as Gunther did, losing his title! This is certainly an unusual turn of events.

I’m thoroughly enjoying the buzz on the WWE X account right now, with fans expressing their thoughts (Hey social media team, you’ve got the wrong belt there!). To be honest, I can’t help but chuckle at the Yeet! nonsense. I believe Jey Uso could greatly benefit from some mic coaching from his cousin, The Rock, as his performances seem a bit rough around the edges. A little more work on his physical fitness might also do him good. Despite these points, the match was still well-executed overall.
So what’s next?
Maybe the question should be: WHO’S NEXT?!

Goldberg retirement match?
It’s being discussed that Jey Uso intentionally relinquished the title to facilitate a farewell bout between Goldberg and Gunther.
It’s yet to be confirmed when and where Goldberg will retire, but it appears likely that his retirement bout will occur on July 12 during Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia. Interestingly, Goldberg played football for the University of Georgia and was a regular headliner at WCW events held at the Georgia Dome. Since he may not be competing for a title, it’s uncertain if his final match will be a championship bout.
If Goldberg doesn’t win, the match could potentially establish a rivalry between Gunther and R-Truth, or perhaps set up a contest between R-Truth and Jey Uso, for some unexplained reason.
Any theories?
