Netmarble reveals The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android

Netmarble has formally revealed their new adaptation of the well-known anime series The Seven Deadly Sins. Entitled The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, this open-world RPG is slated for launch on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android devices in the latter half of 2025.

This upcoming game is being crafted by the same talented group who earlier brought us the hit game The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it promises engaging real-time battles and an expansive world to traverse, complete with immersive features such as fishing and cooking.

The story unfolds during a timeframe sandwiched between the initial anime series and its sequel, Four Knights of the Apocalypse. Here, we follow Tristan, the offspring of the primary characters Meliodas and Elizabeth. In this tale, the continent of Britannia finds itself in peril yet again. Forces from the Book of Stars are distorting time and space, paving the way for a complex narrative that interweaves multiple game universes.

In this game, players will find themselves among familiar characters and settings, alongside entirely new creations within the storyline. They’re free to roam the open game environment, utilizing mounts for both land and air travel, or diving beneath the waves to explore submerged areas. The world features a dynamic day-night cycle that influences which creatures appear at various times.

Origin allows players to form teams consisting of up to four characters, and the abilities of each character will change based on the type of weapon class they are armed with. Specific team configurations can trigger Special Joint Assaults.

Interested fans can already pre-register for the game on its official website.
