Who Is Nancy Feldman? Call Her Daddy Star Alex Cooper Accuses Former BU Soccer Coach of Sexual Harassment

In her recently released Hulu documentary series titled “Call Her Alex,” Alex Cooper has publicly accused her previous college soccer coach, Nancy Feldman, of sexual harassment. This two-part show made its debut at the Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 8.

In the documentary, it was asserted by the host of the Call Her Daddy podcast that unwanted attention took place while she was a student at Boston University, where she played soccer from 2013 to 2015. Cooper alleged that Feldman, who had been coaching the team for many years, started showing unusual interest in her during her second year at school.

In the show, Cooper expressed that she was becoming increasingly focused on, more so than any other teammate, which left her puzzled. According to her statements, Feldman made uncomfortable remarks regarding her physique and inquired about her private relationships.

According to the podcaster, Feldman often made comments about her legs and occasionally touched Cooper’s thigh. She stated that this behavior stemmed from her curiosity about who I was dating, her inappropriate remarks regarding my physique, and her constant desire for private time with me.

A memorable instance for Alex Cooper occurred during a private conversation when Feldman is reported to have questioned, “Did you engage in sexual activities last night?” As per Cooper, the coach also suggested, “I need to take you to your evening class. Let’s go in my car alone.” Cooper further expressed that she felt profoundly uneasy.

Cooper expressed that she found herself in a confined situation as she was studying at BU thanks to a full-scholarship. She added that if she failed to comply with this woman’s guidelines, she risked losing her place there.

1. Cooper and her family sought legal advice regarding filing a formal complaint against Feldman, but were warned it could take years without any certainty of action. Even though Cooper submitted evidence about Feldman’s misconduct to the university, she asserted no steps were taken in response. Despite this, Feldman continued in her role until retiring in 2022. Remarkably, despite not participating in soccer during her final year, Cooper managed to retain her scholarship.

Here’s why it took Alex Cooper 10 years to speak up

After the documentary’s debut, Cooper revealed that she had waited ten years before openly discussing the alleged harassment in a Q&A session. During the filming process, stepping back onto the Boston University soccer field triggered powerful emotional responses for her.

In her own words, Cooper admitted to feeling surprisingly vulnerable as she set foot on the field, reminiscent of being 18 years old once more, finding herself in a position where someone with authority had exploited her. As she looked back, she realized that at that very moment, she didn’t identify as the Call Her Daddy host or a person of power and influence; instead, she felt like a young woman who had endured harassment that significantly altered her life and stole something she held dear.

Under the guidance of director Ry Russo-Young, the series entitled “Call Her Alex” will premiere on Hulu this coming Monday, June 10. Both episodes will be released simultaneously. According to Cooper, filming this series was a challenging yet indispensable experience.
